Our Story
Prayaas Foundation is an initiative started in the year 2000 with a mission to eradicate the Drug Addiction among Indian youth and people. Shree Shrikant Jadhav (IPS) ADGP HARYANA STATE NARCOTICS CONTROL BUREAU) took this initiative and looked forward to give a positive chance to a drug addict to live a healthy life again. Along with this he took responsibility to eradicate and break the chain of drug supplies in India and decided to set a Drugs free society that can give a safe and better future individually to families and collectively to our country.
He put together people in various states and districts who can actively work to identify the drug addicts for rehabilitation and inform the state narcotics department about the drug peddlers.
The Program Prayaas is kept active online 24*7 to share information about drug peddlers by common people on various platforms that is Website, Instagram, whatsaapp and facebook and keeping the identity of informers secret all the time along with appreciation certificate by the narcotics department Haryana.
The purpose of “PRAYAAS” is To deliberate, Study the issue of drug addiction, Formulate strategies for awareness, de addiction, motivation , cultural events , street plays. Rope in the youth as members & create a wide base of information network about peddlers as well as addiction. Medical & help for affected families. Make this issue an peoples movement .Together we can make India a drug free Nation.
